infinite discoveries

Do you have your ID? Welcome to Infinite Discoveries (ID)! This website is dedicated to taking you on a journey of comparative study through the world’s philosophies, histories, and religions. No aspect of global cultural wisdom, spiritual expression, or critical inquiry is off-limits. We will, for example, explore the correspondence between African American sociologist W.E.B. Dubois and Mahatma Gandhi, and Sri Aurobindo’s integral yoga. We will compare the moral leadership in the political philosophies of  Confucius,  Plato, and Gandhi. We will research the close, collaborative friendships between Christians and Buddhists such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and Vietnamese Zen Master-peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. We will examine the commonalities (and differences) that shape what American Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön, Pakistani Muslim activist Malala Yousafzai, and Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg share in their respective teaching. We will dive into the collaborative artwork of Jews and Muslims in Islamic Spain and North Africa. We will search India and Africa for the possible origins of Spanish Flamenco dance. If this odyssey is one that you’d like to participate in, please explore this site and stay current with its ever-expanding content.

We will meet with social scientists, philosophers, theologians, psychologists, artists, and a diverse group of people having a variety of life experiences to help us discover rare treasures hidden (sometimes in plain sight) within ourselves and the world.

When we started this initiative in 2019, our passion for education and learning drove us to begin a dialogue among our academic peers and friends. Now we want to share our passion with you. But you won’t need a passport, just bring your ID (your love for Infinite Discoveries, that is) and travel with us as we explore a marvelous world – East and West, North and South, past and present. Join us on a quest for wisdom though cross cultural connections – which include dialogue, writing, art, and music – towards building a peaceful and harmonious world.

We hope you enjoy our site and its content!
